Stratford Circus is significant organisation in Newham’ thriving cultural quarter, and a neighbour to Theatre Royal Stratford East. As all eyes turn to Stratford East London with the forthcoming Olympics, The International Festival Emerging Artists is a great opportunity to welcome the world. With 60 artists on board, the creative opportunities for this project are infinite and will take us all on a journey over the next 10 years or more. Stratford Circus is delighted to be a host for the artistic programme and creative workshops. We are looking forward to this first year which we hope will raise questions about location and international identity as well as exploring the social, cultural and political ambitions of the young artists taking part. This is the beginning of a truly international project with international ambitions.
